History of the Jets

In the summer of 2009, Matt Majkrzak coached a team full of kids from the Sheboygan area to a tournament championship in Madison, WI. The following summer he planned on coaching for one of the local AAU programs, but found that the cost was too high for his players, so he decided to start his own program, which is how the Wisconsin Jets were formed.

In 2010 the Jets had two teams; a 15U and a 16U. Players from around the Sheboygan area flocked to join the new AAU program. Success came quick for the Jets winning the first two tournaments they entered, and quickly developing a reputation for playing fast and aggressive basketball. Over the next two summers they kept improving the talent level and have proven that the Jets can compete at the highest level in the state of Wisconsin. Those first two summers, primarily competing statewide the Jets went 87-34, winning 72% of their contests and 7 tournament championships.

By 2012 the Jets decided to expand their program to the regional level traveling to Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, and North Dakota.  They expanded their recruiting area to include the entire state of Wisconsin attracting kids from all four corners of the state including Rhinelander, La Crosse, Madison, Sheboygan, and Green Bay.  The Jets as one publication said were an "up and coming" program classified correctly as a "regional power".  The 17U team, coached by Majkrzak, finished the season 30-7, winning over 80% of there contests.  This included three tournament titles at the Dakota Showcase, Hugh Roberts Invite, and Wisconsin Dells Exposure.  Their victory's included wins over the top three WI Blizzard teams, WI Force, MN Heat, MN Comets, MN Fury, SW MN Stars, Dakota Schoolers, and the TX D1 Ambassadors.  The 16U team finished the season 22-14 with wins over the WI Playmakers (twice), WI Blaze, Team Breakdown (FL), and Randolph Boys Club. At the start of the 2012 year the goal was to become the "fastest rising AAU program in the state" something that clearly was accomplished.

The Jets all-time record is 139-55, winning 72% of there games.  This includes 10 tournament titles.
